Mother Nature unleashes one of the strongest, longest and most bizarre storms that even my 55 year-old mother had ever seen on the afternoon of August 1, 2011. The small, but highly concentrated storm produced torrential rain and tropical-force winds over the Queens/Nassau border. But the main attraction? Hail the size of a fist, raining down meteorically with enough force to blow holes in solid brick and even dent steel. UNHEARD OF in this area. When even the mail carrier (THE original purveyor of “RAIN or SHINE” service) asks to take shelter in your house, you know it’s bad. Article on the storm – cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com UPDATE – The media is reporting that the New York City/Nassau border was the hardest hit by the storm, which happens to be EXACTLY where I live. Surrounding areas as little as two miles away didn’t experience a thing. xD UPDATE – 8/2/11 – Watch a video of the aftermath of the storm here: www.youtube.co UPDATE- 8/17/11 – I’ve just been informed that the co-workers of the mail carrier captured in this vid have seen it and she’s now something of a workplace celebrity. Congratulations, mail lady! Hope I didn’t get you into too much trouble! ^_^ Buy my eBay stuff! shop.ebay.com

What football team won the game by pitching the football all the way down field to score? Tossing the football around, avoiding being tackled; so they pitch the ball to their team mates with little time left, and they went down and scored. I don’t know if they did that to win the game or they did that for fun. All i know is that they are a college football team and they scored by pitching the ball around. Does anyone know?
